A non-profit, faith-based organization that serves as a day resource center for the homeless of Sarasota County. The range of services includes showers, restrooms, laundry, counseling, medical treatment, food, clothing, veteran’s assistance, post office, phone, etc. Since the organization was founded in 1989, they have served over 30,000 individuals.
The types of donations that they would welcome include clothing (mens sneakers, mens jeans (especially waist 30 – 34), underwear for both sexes), travel-size bottles of shampoo, canned goods and peanut butter.

The mission of this group is to provide services to survivors of domestic violence and help them stay safe, gain strength and evaluate their options. The service is free and confidential. The vision of HOPE: through the provision of services and social change, ensure that everyone in Manatee County has the skills and information necessary to solve problems in a non-violent manner, thus eliminating domestic violence.
This group will also be looking for gifts for families at the holiday season.

SPARCC’s mission is to stop domestic and sexual violence in our communities. In addition to serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence, SPARCC is “actively engaged in promoting social change through community awareness and education in an effort to prevent violence in the future”.
This group will be looking for gifts for their families, especially for children in their Christmas Shopping Store.

This organization is a community-based care provider of education, prevention, diversion and child welfare services including adoption and foster care. When it’s not safe for children to stay with their biological families, this group works with parents to improve situations so that their children can safely return home. When that’s not possible, they diligent search for “forever families”.
This group will be looking for school supplies: binders, tab dividers, calculators, pens pencils and markers, erasers, pencil cases, etc.

March 13, 2025: Baby Basics of Sarasota County Inc.

Baby Basics provides hygienic essentials (diapers, wipes) to babies and a system of emotional support and referrals for families, thereby increasing their opportunity to succeed.
They are also committed to literacy, distributing hundreds of donated children’s books to their client families. The organization is staffed by volunteers and relies on corporate and private donations.
They will be looking for diapers and wipes.

The mission of this group is to provide, coordinate and facilitate services to prevent and reduce homelessness in Manatee County. Their website states “preventing homelessness by maintaining individuals and families in their housing is our primary goal.”
The sorts of items that the group would welcome include: men’s pants & shorts sizes 30 – 36, men’s sneakers, t-shirts for both sexes and zip-loc bags of personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, soap, washcloth, etc.).
