VANESSA RUSSO, THE RENOWNED SARASOTA ENTERTAINER, WILL HIGHLIGHT THE CARD, GAME AND DANCE LUNCHEON NOVEMBER 8th.


The Annual PAWC Card, Game and Dance Party has been scheduled for November 8th. After the entertainment, tables will be available for Rummy, Bridge, Bunco, Mahjong, Mexican Train and even Scrabble. Be sure to provide your own gaming supplies. Set up your table or request to join another table. Exhibit your gaming skills and have a good time.


As if the games weren’t enough, Carmen McAllister has arranged for Vanessa Russo, a professional singer, dancer, actress and choreographer to entertain. Vanessa is proficient in all types of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary, as well as, ballroom, Argentine Tango, Latin and swing.


Vanessa grew up on the stages of Sarasota, performing since the age of 4. She has toured the world in both theatres and opera houses. Some of her professional credits include "Billy Elliot: The Musical" (as performer and choreographer), "Oklahoma" and "Kiss Me Kate" (as performer and choreographer). She also toured Europe and Asia in "West Side Story". Vanessa will describe some of the highlights of her career and recreate some of her favorite performances.


This event is certain to be fun and exciting and is open to the public. Reservations are $27.00 which include entertainment, games and lunch. Specify your game and co-players, if applicable. Peg McKinley, the PAWC social director, has been arranging luncheons and get-togethers to ensure that no one was bored over the long, hot summer. Members and guests were delighted to meet for mouthwatering lunches at Demetrios and Il Conte. All implored Peg to arrange additional outings. Future outings will be announced in eblasts.


Join us for a luncheon or a Mix and Mingle and check out opportunities for Friendship, Fun and "Giving Back". Remember, the PAWC meets on most second Fridays of the month at 11:30 from October to May. Membership is open year-round and is not limited to Palm Aire Country Club members.
