THE WAIT IS OVER!!!

The Palm Aire Women’s Club will hold an in-person luncheon on Friday, May 14.

Friday, May 14th, the Palm Aire Women’s Club will resume in-person meetings! Since many members have completed their vaccinations, the board voted to resume in-person luncheons at the Palm Aire Country Club. Be sure to attend and catch up with all your friends. Bring a guest and introduce them to the club and its members.

This luncheon will include the election of the 2021/2022 officers of the PAWC. Nominated officers for the 2021/2022 Executive Board are: President– Debi Frock, Vice President- Susan Romine, Recording Secretary- Nancy Curley, Corresponding Secretary- Linda Donnelly and Treasurer– Ivonne Cardona. The newly elected board will be installed with the traditional candlelit ceremony immediately following the election. This time-honored ceremony serves as a reminder of the six decade history of the club and demonstrates that its ideals remain unchanged. Come and congratulate the newly installed officers and give a special thank you to the outgoing officers for a job well done during unprecedented and challenging times.

Doors open 11:00AM and the luncheon begins at 11:30 AM. Reservations remain only $27.00. Send checks to PAWC luncheon, PO Box 21051, Bradenton, FL 34204. If more convenient, place your check (in an envelope) in the PAWC box at the Palm Aire CC reception area. To keep everyone safe and in good health, the PAWC is following the venue’s covid instructions. Masks are to be worn in the building but can be removed when seated. For further information and to confirm your reservation, contact Judi Bouchard.

At this meeting, Peg Beck has arranged to benefit the Safe Children Coalition. Their Schoolhouse Link program provides school supplies to homeless children in transition. Supplies requested are: binders and tab dividers, calculators (basic to scientific) and multi-subject spiral notebooks. A representative from the charity will be on hand to discuss the efforts of this non-profit group and to receive the collected supplies.

It is time for membership renewal and the PAWC is requesting dues for the coming year (2021-2022 ) when the club will return to normal in-person activities. Please try to pay your dues as soon as possible so that those monies can be included in the scholarship and charity funding. If you can, please consider donating an additional amount to the normal $40 dues. Every dollar will help to provide scholarships and charitable grants at a time when many are in dire need. As always, dues and donations are 100% tax deductible. Thank you in advance. Mail checks to PAWC Dues C/O Susan Pulver 5305 Creekside Trail, Sarasota, FL 34243. If more convenient, place the check in an envelope addressed to PAWC dues/Susan Pulver in the PAWC box in the Palm Aire CC reception area. For membership information, contact Susan Pulver.

But, at the end of May, out-going president Carolann Garafola is planning an in-person mix and mingle at her lovely home. Don’t miss the fun. Everyone is guaranteed a wonderful time. It’s also a great time for new and prospective members to get acquainted. Don’t miss this one. Please check email for the date and time.
