FEBRUARY 15TH, "DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND", THE PAWC FASHION SHOW EXTRAVAGANZA, WILL FEATURE FABULOUS FASHIONS PROVIDED BY DILLARD’S.


"Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend", the Annual Palm Aire Women’s Club Fashion Show and Luncheon will be held Friday, February 15 that the Palm Aire Country Club. This exciting gala will feature marvelous, trend-setting fashions provided by Dillard’s. The show starts at 11:30 AM. Doors open at 10:45 to allow guests to participate in the many raffles and silent auctions.


Co-chairs Kim Lege and Ivonne Cardona are excited to announce that Jim Shirley, Executive Director of the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Bernadette DiPino, Chief of Police of the Sarasota Police Department, has taken time from her busy schedule and agreed to become one of the PAWC models. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and fashion while supporting worthwhile causes in your community.

Just take all those old books off the shelf; come and bring them to help someone else. The PAWC Annual Book, Bag, Scarf and Jewelry Sale will take place March 13th to 15th. This is your opportunity to fight clutter for a good cause. Book donations, as well as gently-used scarves, handbags, golf bags and even jewelry will be very welcome. The Palm Aire Women's Club (PAWC) is now accepting applications for Charitable Grants. The PAWC supports local charities that primarily assist women and children through monetary grants. The funds are intended to serve the disadvantaged of the Bradenton-Sarasota community. All applications will be considered but smaller non-profit organizations lacking institutionalized funding are preferred. Last year's recipients included Brotherhood of Men Mentor Group, Brothers & Sisters Doing the Right Thing, Dollar Dynasty, Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee, Manatee Literacy Council and Truly Valued Inc.


Candidates need to submit a current copy of the organization's 990, non-profit status and total amount of contributions received in 2018. To request a copy of the application, send an email to pbeckPAWC@gmail.com with "PAWC Grant Application" in the header of the email and the form will be sent to your organization.


The Palm Aire Women's Club invites all to attend luncheons and get involved helping the PAWC so the club can continue helping the community for another 60 years. Join us for a luncheon or a Mix and Mingle and check out opportunities for “Friendship, Fun and Giving Back”. Remember, the PAWC meets on most second Fridays of the month at 11:30 from October to May. Membership is open year-round and is not limited to Palm Aire Country Club members.
