THE PALM AIRE WOMEN’S CLUB LAUNCHES ITS NEW SEASON, OCTOBER 8TH, WITH “MAMMA MIA!” PERFORMED BY THE MANATEE PLAYERS.

On November 12th, Christmas comes early to the PAWC in the form of THE NUTCRACKER BALLET.

"Mamma Mia!" is the hilarious story of a young woman's search for her birth father. Performed by the Manatee Players, "Mamma Mia!" is an event not to be missed.

The Manatee Players have produced some of the best live theatre in Southwest Florida. Established in 1947, the organization started as a traveling band of artists and volunteers, working only three months a year. Today, The Manatee Players, Inc. is a year-round professionally staffed corporation with more than 70 contracted directors, musicians, and designers.

The PAWC is delighted to host this special premiere performance of highlights from the musical. (The show itself will start at the Manatee Performing Arts Theatre October 14th.) This event is certain to be fun and exciting. Due to cost increases beyond our control, tickets are now $30 and include entertainment and lunch. Checks should be sent to the PAWC, P O Box 21051, Bradenton, FL 34204 or left at the PAWC mailbox in the Palm Aire Country Club office. Checks must be received by October 4th. Please contact Judi Bouchard at judibouchard@myfairpoint.net to confirm your reservation.

On November 12th, Christmas comes early to the PAWC. The Sarasota Cuban Ballet School will perform scenes from "THE NUTCRACKER". Under Maestro Joseph Caulkins, the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School and the Venice Symphony collaborated to usher in the holiday season through this classic tale. This performance is sure to be the holiday event of the Gulf Coast. Again, the PAWC is privileged to see the Nutcracker Ballet a month before anyone else.

The PAWC Gala Fashion Show is slated for Friday, February 11, 2022. Back by popular demand, Dillard’s will return and showcase more of their fabulous fashions. As usual, this event will take place at the Palm-Aire Country Club. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and fashion while supporting worthwhile causes in your community.

These are only some of the highlights from the upcoming PAWC calendar. Vice President Susan Romine has been planning and finalizing additional entertainments to make next season’s meetings memorable. Watch for the updated calendar. You won’t want to miss an event!

The Mix and Mingle events are extremely popular and have led to many new members. Each month, members take turns hosting other members, potential members and guests.
