THE PALM AIRE WOMEN’S CLUB HAS PLANNED AN EXCITING AND EMPOWERING SEASON!
WE ARE 58 AND WANT TO CELEBRATE THE WOMEN WHO MAKE US GREAT!

The first ever 'Dazzle and Dance Extravaganza' has been scheduled for Friday November 18 at 6 PM!

The premiere speakers at our first meeting on Oct.14th will feature two leaders in health care. Dr. Andrew Wengert D.C. specializes in conservative care for musculoskeletal injuries. He is one of two certified Integrative Diagnosis providers in Florida. He will discuss measures to remain pain-free and achieve personal health goals. The second speaker, Viaura Centeno is an NPC champion and a personal health trainer. She will suggest programs to improve your level of fitness irrespective of age or condition. Mail your luncheon reservation checks for $24.00 to the PAWC, in care of Barbara Link, P O Box 21051, Bradenton FL 34204.

November 11th is the new date of our annual Card and Game Party. Since turkey will soon be on almost everyone’s menu, speakers will be on hand to help us prepare for Thanksgiving.

The highly anticipated Dazzle and Dance extravaganza will also highlight the November calendar. The dance and buffet dinner starts at 6 PM and continues to whenever. You can dazzle all with your favorite dance moves, as well as practice what you learned at the “Dancing with the Sarasota Stars” luncheon. Come alone or bring a guest. Everyone is definitely invited and men will be encouraged to join in the fun on the dance floor. A good time is guaranteed for all. Get your reservations in early since this event will definitely sell out. Mail checks for $50.00 per person to PAWC C/O Peg McKinley, P O Box 21051, Bradenton, FL 34204.

In December, the PAWC celebrates the season in style. The third annual Holly Jolly will be held Dec. 4th at Mary Jo Steltmann's lovely home. Save the date and don’t miss out. The PAWC holiday luncheon is scheduled for December 9th. A top school choir will perform songs of the season. Attendees will also get pointers for improving personal safety and lessons in dealing with the ever-present scammers especially rampant during this time of year.

After all the holiday feasting, what could be a more natural segue for the January 13th meeting than a nutritionist giving advice on healthy eating. Hopefully this will allow us to drop the inevitable added pounds.

Remember February 10th is the date for 'An Affair of the Heart', the annual PAWC Fashion Show. The event will be chaired by Lynne Harrison and Barbara Venero. Panache, a top Sarasota Boutique, will showcase fabulous fashions.

Handbags and Scarves have been added to the Annual Book Sale on March 3rd, one of the largest in the area. Local writer Jeri Susi will be on hand to discuss her latest work.

April 14th is the date of the scholarship luncheon and election of officers. Melodie Dickerson and the SFC Chamber Music choir will be present to entertain.

Our final luncheon of the season, May 12th, will be a celebration of the accomplishments the PAWC achieved over the year. Charity endowments will be presented and the new PAWC board will be inducted.

Our 'Mix and Mingle' gatherings are growing more popular every month. Don’t miss the fun. Everyone is guaranteed a wonderful time. It’s also a great time for new and old members to get acquainted. Don’t miss the next one. Please check emails for dates and times.

Remember, the PAWC usually meets on the second Friday of the month at 11AM from October to May. Membership is open year round and is not limited to Palm Aire Country Club members. For information, contact chairperson, Cecelia Massey. Dues are now $40 yearly.
