MELODIE DICKERSON AND THE STATE COLLEGE OF FLORIDA CHAMBER CHOIR WILL CELEBRATE THE SEASON AT THE DECEMBER 7TH PAWC LUNCHEON.

The December 7th Holiday Luncheon will offer special seasonal entertainment provided by the award-winning State College of Florida Chamber Choir directed by the fabulous Ms. Melodie Dickerson. This is the same choir, you will remember, that was chosen to accompany Ms. Susan Boyle when she performed at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall during her first U. S. tour. This award-winning choir will ring in the season with joyful holiday selections that highlight the talents of this very special choral group.

Also, at the December luncheon, Peg Beck will be collecting unwrapped Christmas gifts for teens in association with the Hope Family Services Charity. Peg is requesting gift cards for local stores and/or fast food restaurants. Hope Family Services works with people trying to escape domestic violence. The organization empowers individuals to be independent, enabling them to get out of their abusive situations and take care of themselves and their children.

This festive luncheon should not be missed. Tickets are $25.00. Checks should be sent to the PAWC in care of Barbara Link, P O Box 21051, Bradenton, FL 34204. Reservations must be received by Monday, Dec.3rd. Please contact Barbara at blink22542@gmail.com to confirm your reservation.

The October luncheon was truly a memorable one. The PAWC introduced 30 new members and recognized several long-time members, but the highlight of the meeting was the original play presented by Leona Collesano and Tom Aposporos from Sarasota's Theatre Odyssey. Theatre Odyssey produces a One-Act Play Festival, featuring plays received throughout the country. Leona and Tom presented a delightful comedy entitled, “Lou Bitterman: Attorney at Law.” Everyone was excited to be present for this outstanding event.

The Palm Aire Women's Club invites all to attend luncheons and get involved helping the PAWC so the club can continue helping the community for another 60 years. Join us for a luncheon or a Mix and Mingle and check out opportunities for Friendship, Fun and "Giving Back". Remember, the PAWC meets on most second Fridays of the month at 11:30 from October to May. Membership is open year-round and is not limited to Palm Aire Country Club members. For information, contact chairperson, ceceliamassey@ aol.com or check out the PAWC website at www.palm-airewomensclub.org. Dues are now $40 yearly.
