Back by popular demand, Dillard’s will sponsor the 2020 PAWC Fashion Show.
Vice President Carmen McAllister has been toiling in the summer heat to ensure that the 2019/2020 luncheon programs are unparalleled! A fabulous fashion show, virtual tours, dance lessons and children’s choirs are only some of highlights she has planned. Be sure to mark your calendar so you won’t miss the festivities.
Virtual Reality comes to the PAWC at the premiere meeting of the season, Friday, October 11th. Morgan Woolverton, an expert in the field, will lead us into this exciting world of the future. He will show how virtual reality already affects us and how best to utilize it.
The Annual Card, Game and Dance Party will be held November 8th. Sarasota native, Vanessa Russo, a professional singer, dancer, actress and choreographer, will discuss her exciting career and perform highlights from her past roles.
The Annual Holly Jolly Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday December 1st. Details will be forthcoming.
The Annual Holiday Luncheon will take place December 13th and features a special seasonal musical program performed by a local children’s choir.
Jack Winberg, an accomplished photographer and expert in digital imagery, will take us on a virtual journey to the ancient city of Angkor Wat, Cambodia at the January 10th meeting. Join him for an insider’s tour of the world’s largest pre-industrial city very few are able to visit.
Make your Valentine’s Day even more spectacular by attending the PAWC Fashion Show. Back by popular demand, Dillard’s will again be the sponsor. Be sure to attend and see the latest fashions, trends and styles.
The Annual Book, Bag, Scarf and Jewelry Sale will take place March 18 to 20th. This is one of the biggest fundraisers for the PAWC, since there will be something for everyone. The March 20th luncheon will feature renown dancer, Michael Pecina from Dancing under the Suncoast. He will demonstrate the Argentine Tango and lead a group of volunteer dancers. Get out your dancing shoes.
April 17th is the Annual Scholarship Luncheon, where this year’s scholarship recipients will be presented. The award-winning FSU Chamber Choir led by Ms. Melodie Dickerson will also perform and the 2020/2021 PAWC officers will be elected.
The final meeting of the season, the Charity Luncheon, takes place on May 8th, 2020. The PAWC sponsored charities will be introduced and past presidents will also be honored.
Remember, the PAWC usually meets on the second Friday of the month at 11 AM (registration at 10:45) from October to May.
