May 8, 2020 - "LUNCHEON MEETING "
Registration starts at 10:45 am – Ceremony for new Officer’s, Donations given to organization representatives
Dear Palm Aire Women’s Club Members,
First and foremost, I hope all everyone is safe and healthy. IF, anyone is having any challenges, please do not hesitate to
reach out to me so we can provide assistance! This has been a very challenging time for us individually and as a community!
We will not be holding our April membership/program meeting. I still hold hopes that we will be able to resume in May but
that is an unknown.
The mission of our club is to support higher education and local charities AND we will continue to do this! The scholarship
committee has met, reviewed applications, selected recipients and alternates. Thank you Carol Darling and her committee! Peg
Beck, chair of charities, has reviewed grant applications and submitted her report for review by the Executive Committee.
Our Executive committee is meeting via conference call this Friday to review all requests and our financials to make our
decisions. A report will be shared with membership.
Many of you had pre-paid for the cancelled March meeting and had option to apply towards April meeting, request a refund or to
provide a donation. Since now no future meeting confirmed, if you have an outstanding payment, please let us know your desires.
We currently do not have any additional fundraisers planning, unless we get the clearance for a May meeting can hold the book
sale so any income is appreciated.
Also, it is time for the annual membership dues of $40. Checks should be made payable to PAWC and mailed to our new Membership
chair: Susan Pulver, 5305 Creekside Trail, Sarasota, 34243. We are sad to see Cecelia Massey return to England and appreciate
all her hard work over the years.
I’d also like to share that with Palm Aire Country Club now closed (with exception of take-out service) this is having great
impact to the employees, who have been so good to PAWC. The club has set up a fund. If you would like to contribute, and are
a member, please consider adding whatever you can by emailing email@example.com to your monthly bill. Or, mail check to
Palm Aire Country Club, 5601 Country Club Way, Sarasota, 34243 and please write: 2020 Employee Assistance Fund.
We are traveling down uncharted waters BUT, we are a strong country, a strong people and we will come out of this STRONG!

Dear PAWC Members,
As concern about the coronavirus, known as COVID-19, grows across the nation, the health and safety of our members and community
has always been our priority. Currently there are no reported cases about our members but the CDC has noted that older people
and people with underlying health conditions seem to be at greater risk of serious illness, we must take everyday precautions to
protect ourselves and our community.
After careful consideration, and in the best interest of the PAWC Members, we will be canceling all activities in March. This
includes our March 20th Program meeting along with the Book sale and the monthly Mix & Mingle.
I will be sending out later in the week the notice from Nominating Commitee of slate of officers with our 2020/2021 slate of PAWC
Officers. Anyone that has already paid has the option make a donation, receive a credit for next month’s program or to be
We hope that the crisis will subside within the next couple of weeks and we will resume with our scheduled program meeting on
