THE PAWC MARCH MADNESS BOOK, BAG AND SCARF SALE AND LUNCHEON WILL BE HELD MARCH 1st THROUGH MARCH 3rd.

The PAWC Scholarship luncheon has been changed to April 7th.

Just take all those old books off the shelf; come and bring them to help someone else. The time for the PAWC annual book sale is here.

This sale is one of the largest in the area and boasts a large selection of books, ranging from best sellers to limited editions. There will also be plenty of children’s books, audio books, CDs, DVDs as well as puzzles and games, all at bargain prices.

To make sure there will be something for everyone, this year the PAWC will be adding scarves and bags to the mix. All kinds of bags will be available. Vintage, evening, tote and even golf bags will be plentiful. A large assortment of scarves will help you tie your look together. Make a fashion statement, save money and help your community all at the same time.

This is also your opportunity to find joy in tidying up. Book donations, as well as gently-used scarves handbags and golf bags will be very welcome. Please bring your donations to the front door of the Palm Aire Country club at 9AM on Wednesday March 1st. Fight clutter for a good cause. Hours of the sale are: Wednesday the 1st 12-8PM, Thursday the 2nd- 10AM-3PM and Friday the 3rd- 10AM to 3PM.

Local artist Geri Susi will also be available at the March 3rd luncheon to discuss her latest work.

Mark your calendars! Due to an unfortunate scheduling conflict with our scholarship recipients, the date of the April luncheon has been changed. The new date is April 7th. We are sorry about the inconvenience, however we wanted to ensure that all the winners would be available.

Tickets for the book sale luncheon are $24.00. Checks should be sent to the PAWC C/O Barbara Link, P O Box 21051, Bradenton, FL 34204.

The PAWC has successfully started its new year. The January luncheon featured outstanding speakers. Representatives from Cornerstone Nutrition offered to bring delicious, healthy meals right to your door. Deputy Russ Younger from the Manatee Sheriff’s Office discussed how to maintain safety and security in your home. The last speaker, Melissa Nell from the Manatee County Parks Department, spoke about the fascinating, little-known areas open for exploration in our own neighborhood. She disclosed which parks offer free tours, archery, kayaking, birding and even hunting. Few, if any, in the audience knew about all these opportunities.

Our 'Mix and Mingle' gatherings are growing more popular every month. Don’t miss the fun. Everyone is guaranteed a wonderful time. It’s also a great time for new and old members to get acquainted. Don’t miss the next one. Please check emails for dates and times.

Remember, the PAWC usually meets on the second Friday of the month at 11AM from October to May. Membership is open year round and is not limited to Palm Aire Country Club members. For information, contact chairperson, Cecelia Massey. Dues are now $40 yearly.
